OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 March 2009 was announced, that French Bouygues had proposed to build an international stadium for motor sports in Turkmenistan. The project provides for construction of high-speed, cart, asphalt and gravel tracks as well as stands for spectators. Bouygues's regional director Charles Santer presented a mockup of sport facilities to Turkmen president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on 5 March at a meeting on one of the stretches of the Mary-Turkmenabat route, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat. The head of state carefully examined the project, the president's press service said.

It should be recalled that at a government meeting on 10 February the head of state signed a resolution on setting up Turkmenistan's national center for motor sports. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said modern motor tracks will be built in Ashgabat and provinces of Turkmenistan, and necessary conditions will be created for sportsmen's training.
