OREANDA-NEWS. March 12, 2009. During the crisis a lot of enterprises usually get rid of pre-school institutions, that is why the number of kindergartens is reducing. The attitude towards this problem is quite different at Zaporizhstal. The utmost is done for the children of Zaporizhstal workers to keep them healthy and cheerful. The staff of pre-school institutions of the Works copes with such a task.

Stepping on the threshold of hospitable kindergarten No.13 with a cheerful name “Chizhik”, you immediately find yourself in a completely different world. Surprisingly it’s very quiet and peaceful in the premises. As it turned out it was rest hour for the children.

- At present 75 children attend the kindergarten, — says the Director Tatyana Abramenko. — Our kindergarten was founded in the far-off 1958 and, in spite of that it is in a very good state. That is why children are gladly brought to this kindergarten, what, naturally, makes the tutors happy. Most of them have been working here for more than 20 years.

According to what the Director said, children in kindergarten “Chizhik” are not only taught to count but their creative abilities are also developed. In this kindergarten children take part in dramatic performances, get to know such trends of art, as painting, architecture, music and singing. Being brought up in a creative atmosphere the kids start making verses and songs themselves.

In the winter season the tutors together with the children grow different plants. Very soon, when it becomes warm, pansies and other flowers are planted in the yard and then the children look after them.

Such lessons not only arouse interest but they also teach to preserve nature, what is very important today. Apart from that the children look after the birds, fishes and turtle, which live in the kindergarten pet’s corner.

The main thing is promotion of the children’s health. That is why different health-improving treatment, including hydrotherapeutic treatment, is carried out. The kids are given massage and herb tea is prepared for them.

The children have no time to get bored in kindergarten. According to a special teaching programme they study the environment and they are also taught how to look after their health. It’s a great pleasure for the children to attend such a kindergarten.
