OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 March 2009 was announced, that two more Airbus A319 were added to ROSSIYA’s fleet of aircraft.

ROSSIYA has already acquired eight Airbus aircrafts. They have been acquired on an operational leasing basis.

A319 can accommodate 128 passengers: 120 passengers in economy class, and 8 in business class. “Adding new aircrafts to the fleet enables us to put them in plan in our new summer timetable. In the beginning of the year the part of foreign aircrafts in our fleet was more than 70% and it will be increasing”, Igor Moratchev, commercial director of ROSSIYA says.

Beginning from 2005 when the renovation of aircraft fleet started ROSSIYA has acquired 16 Boeing and Airbus aircrafts. Company decided to stop operating IL-86 and TU-134 aircrafts. By the end of 2009 ROSSIYA expects to acquire 8 more Airbuses which demonstrate high level of fuel and operating efficiency. Operating of these aircrafts is beneficial for the company and makes the flight comfortable and even more reasonable for the passengers.
