The eighth final place of the company is conditioned by both large amounts of costs for charitable purposes (471.3 million rubles, the 6th place in the rating) and efficiency of use of allocated funds (average mark – 3, the 9th place). In addition, following the results of this investigation OJSC “MCC “EuroChem” is the leader among other companies of the chemical industry of Russia remaining far behind itself “Acron” (the 18th final place in the investigation).

Charitable donations of employees of MCC EuroChem amounted in 2007 to 600 thousand rubles.

The arrangers of the investigation wanted not only to find out how much Russian companies spend for charity but, the main thing, to assess efficiency of funds utilization.

Accordingly, the final place of EuroChem in the investigation depended to the equal extent on quantitative indicators and quality and efficiency of the programs. For assessment of quality experts were engaged not depending on any private funds and donating companies.

40 companies took part in the investigation having the annual turnover not less than USD 10 million and with audited statements over 2007. Only projects financed on account of companies were given consideration, i.e. private funds of the management or shareholders were not taken into account. In addition, only corporate charity was considered but not donations of employees of the company or sponsorship (expenses from the advertisement budget).
