OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2009. Priorbank has decided to support science, national culture and health care development on the occasion of its 20-th anniversary, reported the press-centre of Priorbank.

At the end of 2008 Priorbank held contest "The best research (publication) in finances and economics" organized for professional journalists, part-time employees of mass media in the Republic of Belarus and independent experts/consultants in finances and economics. The aim of the contest is to attract public attention to economics, finances and bank services.

The assessment criteria of the publications were urgency of the topic, authenticity of the mentioned facts, detailed analysis and efficiency of the given information. Mrs. M. Markusenko, from the Institute of Economics of the Belarusian Academy of Science, the author of the article "The world financial crisis and its influence on the Belarusian economy", became the winner of the contest. She was awarded Priorbank's certificate and reward of 10 million Br.

Moreover, Priorbank established five more nominations for "Dedication to Belarusian Culture and Traditions" among folk music Belarusian bands. The musical groups such as "Testamentum Terra", "Rada", "Stary Olsa", "Vietah", "Palace" were granted Priorbank's certificate and reward of 10 million Br too.

Having been dynamically developing during past 20 years, Priorbank has always been adhering to good traditions of charity. One of the recent most significant charity project has become financing of purchasing of medical equipment for the Minsk City Clinic. Providing aid to those in need Priorbank always remembers the idea of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen, the founder of Raiffeisen Banking Group, "Help for self-help", which is still a convincing principle.
