OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2009. State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and OJSC the Sochi International Airport signed an Agreement on opening a credit line worth 5.4 billion rubles for a period of 10 years.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Agreement was signed by Management Board Member – Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman Anatoly Ballo and on behalf of OJSC the Sochi International Airport – by its General Director Alexandr Golovin.

The funds are intended for the construction of an air terminal complex – Vnesheconombank is to provide funds on the principles of project financing.

Under the Russian Government Resolution “On the Program of Building Olympic Facilities and Developing the City of Sochi as the Mountain-Climate Resort” the project aimed at reconstructing the Sochi International Airport was granted Olympic Facility Status.

The Agreement was made within general approaches to financing Olympic facilities approved by Vnesheconombank’s Supervisory Board.
