On 16 March 2009 was announced, that from February 19 – 20, 2009 Sibirtelecom conducted the final stage of a compliance audit for the quality management system (QMS) in line with the requirements of international standard ISO 9001-2008.  Based on the audit of the company’s business processes, the external auditor recommended confirming the company’s QMS registration and issued a conclusion which stated that the company adheres in its operations to the quality management system, is attempting to improve its performance and maintains its integrity.

“Sibirtelecom is working to improve its technological base, conducts an efficient financial and investment policy, and is broadening its range of available services”, according to leading auditor of non-profit organization NQA Russia Sergey Nekrasov.

Sibirtelecom has been operating for a year already under the certified quality management  system, with registration made in the British certification agency NQA.  According to the rules of this agency, the company is required to take an annual compliance audit during the three years of the validity of the certificate, i.e. to confirm its compliance certificate.

Based on the audit results, there were no instances of non-compliance or substantial remarks.  Sibirtelecom will be issued a new compliance certificate, i.e. the 2008 ISO 9001 version.
