OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 March 2009 was announced, that an ornithological park, three ponds with islands and pedestrian bridges, sports and recreation facilities are to be developed within Moscow’s 850th Anniversary Park in Mariyno township.

The erection is stipulated by the program aimed at developing southeastern Moscow till 2025. “Thus, Sady Mira [Gardens of the World] will contain plants from around the planet. A cultural and recreation park is to be set up, therefore the aerial electric wires are to be put underground,” Vladimir Zotov, prefect of Moscow’s southeastern administrative district, said.

A centre aimed at educating about 20th-century culture, a stadium, an aqua park and a mosque are to be built as well, according to the layout of Maryino.

Mr Zotov added that neighbourhoods A, G, Zh located within Lyublino township were to undergo a reconstruction.

“A recreation centre is to be erected on Belorechenskaya Street, a hotel – on Lyublinskaya Street,” the official noted.

Later on a huge high-rise complex is to be raised on 17 Verkhnie Polya Street, a leisure centre for children is to be developed in neighbourhood 14.
