OREANDA-NEWS. On March 23, 2009 Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko declared the Government will financially invigorate aviation domain with an aim to stabilize its activity. The Head of Government informed during the meeting dedicated to aviation problems.

According Yulia Tymoshenko, she will embark on talks with banks personally, including the NBU, to solve the issues of restructuring the debts of the branch, accumulated in the past years.

The Head of Government noted aviation enterprises have certain problems with realization of contracts and orders through the lack of circulating assets. So, according to her, Kharkiv aviation enterprise lacks UAH 383 mn to complete nine aircrafts which can bring UAH 212 mn, while Kyiv Aviation Plant “Aviant” needs UAH 150-200 mn.

Yulia Tymoshenko explained the mentioned problems can be solved at the account of the Stabilization Fund which “is successfully being filled” during January-March.

The Premier reminded within nearest time the Gov’t would hold recapitalization of commercial banks and the financial resources directed to the statutory capitals of the banks will be drawn into the real economic sector. Notably, a possibility to direct the part of resources to cheap credits is being considered.

Yulia Tymoshenko thinks at the account of adequate state order the aviation branch can be revived financially, it will also facilitate the development of new markets of goods of the aircraft building domain and coordination of efforts in production of planes with other countries. The Prime Minister revealed nowadays Ukraine has two potential partners for cooperation in building of new planes – China and Japan.
