OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 March 2009 was announced, that in February JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” has sold heat power more, than expected, but for electric power the demand is dropped.

3.219 million of gigacalories of heat power were sold to consumers by power stations and boiler shops of JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” (JSC “FEGC”) in February of this year, that is by 4.3% over plan and 3.4% more than in similar period of 2008. Increase of the heat consumption is happened in the entire Far East, except Primoriye, due to lower outer air temperatures. Thus, mean monthly temperatures of February in Khabarovsk are turned to be by 4°C lower than previous year, in Komsomolsk-on-Amur – by 5.9°C, in Blagoveschensk – by 7.3°C, in Neryungri – by 9°C.

In February in the Far East practically everywhere was detected the drop of electric power consumption. For the passed month the generation of electric power at the Far Eastern CHPPs was 2.017 billion of kilowatt hours. It decreased by 7.7% as compared with the last year and turned to be below planned by 2.4%. The increase of electric power production (by 5.3% over business plan figures) was detected only in branch Amurskaya Generating Company of JSC “FEGC”.

As noted the Manager of Department of Energy Balances and Work at Wholesale Market of power and capacities of JSC “FEGC” Lyubov DOROHOVA, the latter is connected not with more active demand for electric power in Amurskaya oblast, but other reasons. Namely, in the conditions of drop of demand for electric power the power stations of JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” have been loaded taking into consideration economic usefulness and raising its efficiency. Thanks to it in February at the CHPPs of the company were substantially decreased the specific fuel rates either in electric power production, or heat power production. As a result only at account of this resource by JSC “FEGC” was saved 3.7 thousand tons of conventional fuel (cumulative – coal, gas, fuel oil).
