OREANDA-NEWS. On March 24, 2009 JSC "BPS-Bank" concluded a framework agreement with one of the Swiss banks for the amount of CHF 10 million, reported the press-centre of BPS-Bank.

This agreement stipulated basic principles and terms of financing delivery of technological equipment from Switzerland to the Republic of Belarus through attraction of the foreign bank's resources under insurance cover of the export credit agency SERV (Switzerland). The loan tenors are from 2 to 5 years, depending on the amount.

In 2008, JSC "BPS-Bank" executed trade finance transactions for the total amount of USD 687.4 million, and obtained foreign credit resources for USD 222.15 million.

The bank successfully repaid the syndicated loan earlier obtained from foreign financial institutions for the amount of USD 78 million, making it the largest transaction of the kind ever executed by Belarusian banks.

As of the beginning of 2009, JSC "BPS-Bank" is ranked the 3rd among Belarusian banks by assets, equity, obtained retail funds, and branch network coverage. The Bank was assigned long-term credit ratings from the international agencies: B+ from Standard & Poor’s; B2 from Moody’s; and B- from Fitch Ratings.
