OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 March 2009 was announced, that the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) will supply trucks to Turkmenistan. The plant won a tender for supply of dump-trucks, crane trucks, cargo trucks as well as fuel servicing trucks for the Turkmengas state concern. Trucks should be supplied in May-June 2009, the MAZ department for foreign relations said in a statement.

"Cargo trucks and dump trucks will undergo tests in Turkmenistan. On results of tests, 200 trucks will be supplied for the Turkmenneftegazstroy state concern," the statement said.

MAZ trucks are being sold in 50 countries. MAZ's assembly plants operate in Lithuania, Egypt, Iran, Vietnam. Russia and CIS countries are the major importers of MAZ trucks.
