OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 April 2009 was announced, that presentation of the Combined Cycle Power Plant in Nizhni Novgorod Project was held for representatives of ENKA Construction & Industry Co. Inc., Siemens and Institut Teploproekt, and affiliate of OJSC Engineering Center of the UES, in the Central Offices of ITERA International Group of Companies.

Vladimir Makeyev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC Verkhne-Volzhskaya Generiruyuschaya Kompaniya (Upper Volga Generating Company) (UVGC), Chairman of the Management Board of ITERA Oil and Gas Company reported the basic areas of ITERA activities and plans in power generation.

Dmitri Alexeyev, General Director of UVGC, commented on the technical parameters of the plant, as well as on organizational and financial aspects of the Project.

Valeri Ulyanov, Minister of Housing and Utilities Infrastructure and Fuel and Energy Complex of the Nizhni Novgorod Region said that the regional government was ready to acknowledge the Project as a priority and to facilitate its implementation by provision of all benefits envisioned in the regional legislation in effect.

Representatives of ENKA Construction & Industry Co. Inc.,  Siemens and Institut Teploproekt, that had a long team-work experience in constructing similar facilities, confirmed they were ready to participate in the Project. They presented their capabilities in engineering support, supply of equipment, accomplishment of construction-assembly work and commissioning the facility on a turnkey basis on a target date.

The plan is to complete the first stage in 2012, and the second stage of the Project in 2014.

The UVGC leaders pointed out that about 30 Russian and foreign firms and companies were interested to participate in the Project.
