OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) approved purchasing of 25%+1 voting share of "Todlem, S.L." by "SeverStal Trade Ges.m.b.H" as part of creating a joint venture of "SeverStal" Group and "Gestamp" (Spain) for manufacturing pressed vehicle body parts that is scheduled for launching in 2010, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

This was one of the first petitions filed to FAS Russia by Russian companies for purchasing foreign-based assets in accordance with Clause 2 Article 3 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

The group of persons of "SeverStal" OJSC is an international vertically integrated mining-and-smelting company, including coke-chemical, agglomerative, blast furnace production, steel smelting, and rolling.

"Gestamp Automocion" International Group is involved in development and manufacturing of metal assemblies and components for the automobile construction sector. "Gestamp" delivers products for the largest world car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Renault-Nissan, Peugeot-Citroen, Daimler, GM, Ford and Chrysler.
