OREANDA-NEWS. April 3, 2009. Chief Inspector of Energoatom Concern, former Director of Kola Nuclear Power Plant Yuri Kolomtsev has been awarded certificate of honor of the Government of the Russian Federation for outstanding contribution to the development of the national nuclear industry.

Yuri Kolomtsev has graduated from the Process Automation Department of Ivanovo Power Engineering Institute. He is thermal power engineer, candidate of technical sciences, the author of a number of scientific publications.

In 1994–2007 he was Director of Kola Nuclear Power Plant, in 2008 he was appointed as Chief Inspector of Energoatom Concern OJSC.

Kolomtsev has been awarded “Veteran of Labor” Medal, Gold Medal “For Contribution to NPP Safety Enhancement,” “Friendship Among Nations” Order, Peter the Great’s Medal “For Valiant Labor,” Order of Honor, Order of Sergius from Radonezh, “Veteran of Nuclear Power Industry” Badge.

He is Honored Power Engineer of Russia, Laureate of the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, Honorary Citizen of Murmansk region, Honorary Citizen of Polyarnye Zori.
