OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2009. The Moscow Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) initiated a case against "Nikoil-Alpha" CJSC for violating Part 1 Article 14 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (selling, exchanging or otherwise introducing goods in circulation with illegal use of intellectual property and equivalent means of differentiating a legal entity, or the means of differentiating goods, works and services, in form of using trademarks), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Earlier the Moscow OFAS Russia received a complaint of "TNK-BP Holding" OJSC that "Nikoil-Alpha" CJSC had unlawfully used the trademarks, the rights for which were hold by "TNK-BP Holding" OJSC.

According to the information presented by "TNK-BP Holding" OJSC, "Nikoil-Alpha" CJSC is involved in retail sales of motor fuel (petrol, grades AI-80, АI-92, and АI-95, and diesel fuel) through the company's fuel stations in the Moscow region. For the exterior design of one of the fuel stations, involved in retail sales of motor fuel, "Nikoil-Alpha" CJSC used the trademarks the rights for which were hold by "TNK-BP Holding" OJSC.
