OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 April 2009 MVK reported, that some time ago at the official Web-site of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy was announced the museum display can be visited upon a preliminary request.  The students of Moscow Publishing and Polygraphic College n.a. Ivan Fedorov were the first excursionists.

The coming polygraphists did the exhibition with great interest, learnt much new about the history of writing, styles and schools of calligraphy, writing utensils and materials. They absorbedly investigated the works of famous calligraphers, manuscripts, copies of letters written by Peter the Great, Empress Catherine, prince Alexey and some other outstanding historical figures.

“We are full of impressions”, “we have never knew a museum can be both interesting and beautiful”, “is it really possible?” – these are the feedbacks of the first visitors. At the end the excursionists watched a film about the exhibition of calligraphy in St. Petersburg in September 2008. To see the authors of exhibited works and watch them at work was really exciting.
