On 06 April 2009 was announced, that the Integrated Management System of Uralkali (Berezniki, Perm Territory) had been recertified as compliant with international quality standards (ISO 9001:2008) and environmental requirements (ISO 14001:2007). The audit was carried out by experts from the All-Russia Scientific Research Institute for Certification (VNIIS).

The experts found the Uralkali Integrated Management System to be in compliance with the requirements of the standard, emphasizing the company’s ongoing progress in this area. The audit focused on analyzing the integration of outsourced processes within the company’s management system. Uralkali’s processes in this regard are managed in line with ISO best practice, remaining part of the corporate management system.

Following the audit the VNIIS certification commission issued Uralkali with the relevant certificates valid for three years and will recommend that SGS, a Switzerland-based certification body, grant the company international certificates recognized by over 150 countries. These certificates ensure high customer confidence, make the company more attractive to investors, add to the corporate image, and improve the company’s reputation thus allowing Uralkali to successfully offer its products globally.
