OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 April 2009 was announced, that the 2008 plans for building kindergartens, schools and recreation centres in Moscow have been fulfilled. The builders intend to meet all the commitments they have made and develop such objects in the Russian capital this year as well.

According to Vladimir Resin, first deputy Moscow Mayor, the builders erected 86 kindergartens, 21 schools, 3 primary school blocks, 51 sports and fitness centres and 28 hotels in Moscow last year.

Besides, about 2.5 million square metres of housing were built in 2008 for citizens on the waiting list and under the program aimed at moving residents of the five-storey and dilapidated homes and under the other social programs of Moscow.

An interchange at the junction of Leningradskoe and Golovinskoe highways, the Krasnopresnenskaya trunk road from the MKAD to Marshala Zhukova Avenue as well as a number of other roads have been commissioned with the view of improving the transportation service of Moscow.

Mr Resin added that the parking garages with the total capacity of more than 60,000 vehicles were commissioned in Moscow the year before.
