Within the framework of the program of Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union – ABU took place visit to Uzbekistan of Head of Transmission Technology and Spectrum of ABU Mr. Upali Arambewale with objective of acquaintance to organizations-members ABU and exchange of opinions on technical cooperation, reported the press-centre of NTRC.

On April, 6th Head of Transmission Technology and Spectrum of ABU Mr. Upali Arambewale has visited the National television and radio company of Uzbekistan. During the taken place discussion the information on history of progress of TV and radio broadcasting in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the attention given by the government of Uzbekistan to this sphere, created possibilities and works carried out in these days in the National television and radio company of Uzbekistan has been given to the representative of ABU.

There has been discussed the question on organization of seminar-trainings by ABU on various technical questions and inviting of suitable experts proceeding from needs of the National television and radio company of Uzbekistan.

The 2-day's presentation-seminar with participation of the representative of ABU took place. The technical staff of the National television and radio company of Uzbekistan working in the system of producing and transmitting the teleradioproduction have taken part in this action. On presentation-seminar the representative of ABU has acquainted the technical staff of the Company with present activity of ABU and changes in the sphere of TV and radio broadcasting in the world.

In turn, the representative of ABU has familiarized with created in the National television and radio company of Uzbekistan conditions and used modern technics-technologies, has directly met with technical experts in working process.

The visitor with great interest has familiarized with exhibits of a museum of the National television and radio company of Uzbekistan, telling about the history of TV and radio broadcasting. The big impression on the representative of ABU was made with the information connected with primary creating of electronic TV in Tashkent and its further progress. He has noted, that will widely propagandize this information among members of the organization.

Special interest of the visitor was caused with measures taken in the republic in sphere of digital TV. The representative of ABU has noted, that planned and carried out works in the given sphere in Uzbekistan, deserve special attention, in fact in the developed countries there are difficulties in this area.

Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has been created on July, 1st, 1964. Now members of ABU are 200 organizations from 56 countries of the world. The National television and radio company of Uzbekistan has entered this organization in 2004.
