OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2009. Softline announced an official opening of representative office in Iran.

The company informs the new office will focus on licensing software and rendering training services.

“The decision on entering Iranian market is linked with large prospects at that market. Currently Iranian market has only amateurish private initiatives on promoting licensed software. One of the main tasks standing ahead of the new office is to promote the major global software producers to the market of Iran. We will offer products of both Russian and multinational vendors. The Iran-based office will assist in developing the local soft production as well. Our strategic goal is to seize leading positions at Iran’s IT market,” Business Development Director for Iran Alexei Kochetov said.

Softline’s new regional representative office will specialize on deliveries of a wide spectrum of software and trainings. The plans are to render consulting services, technical support and localize Russian vendors’ products. Softline clients in Iran will be able to sign up for a free Softline-Direct software catalogue as well as to be a part of the regular free workshops organized by Softline and involving leading technical software specialists.

Currently the new office employs five persons.

“As sales grow the number of employees will grow as well. The whole staff has higher specialized education, high qualification and western business running manner. Our main clients are state-owned companies, EPG segment, representatives of foreign organizations, universities, oil, gas and machine-building companies.” Kochetov underlined.
