OREANDA-NEWS. April 17, 2009. The Russian Bank for Development has participated in a practical conference “Banks – to business” which took place in Volgograd, reported the press-centre of Russian Bank for Development.

The vent was held under the support of the Association of the Regional Banks of Russia and the Volgograd Oblast Administration. The main objective of the conference was to discuss current situation and development of small and medium business in the region.

RBD was represented by Nadezhda Martynova, Deputy Chairman of the Board. She presented the SME Lending Support Program which is implemented by the Russian Bank for Development. Alongside SME funding through the regional counterparty banks this Program is aimed at SME support infrastructure development and lending to micro-finance and leasing companies.

Within the framework of the conference Nadezhda Martynova held a number of meetings-consultations with representatives of the Volgograd Oblasts’s banks. The subject of the meetings was possibility of involving the banks in the RBD’s SME Lending Support Program in the Volga region.

Anatoly Aksakov, President of Association Russia, member of the State Duma; Nikolay Maksyuta, Governor of the Volgograd Oblast; Alexander Shirokyi, Head of the Central Bank Administration in the Volgograd Oblast took part in the conference.
