OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 April 2009 was announced, that over 200 sites within Moscow’s Third Ring Road are to be allocated for building the automated multilevel parking structures. City Hall issued a challenge to decrease their cost price to USD 12,000 per parking space by using the domestic construction materials.

The first car park of such a kind was opened on Akademika Korolyova Street, near the Ostankino TV Tower of Moscow.

The new-built object is a roofed glazed structure that is not higher than 30 metres. It consists of 8 levels, each can accommodate 4 vehicles.

The similar structure can be under construction from 30 to 35 days. A relatively small area occupied by the car park, 10 x 10 metres, enables to erect it near residential buildings in the developed neighbourhoods.

According to Vladimir Resin, first deputy Moscow Mayor, it is reasonable to develop such objects in every neighbourhood of the Russian capital as they can help to overcome the shortage of parking spaces in it.
