OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 April 2009 was announced, that the federal agency of sea and river transport (Rosmorrechflot) has given out the permission to transportation of hydrocarbons from terminal "Varandej" in seaport Murmansk with use of shuttle Arctic tanker "Timothy Guzhenko". The tanker is registered in the Russian international register of courts (the proprietor of Open Company "Sovkomflot Varandej"). The order operates from April, 19th, till April, 19th, 2019, is spoken in the message of federal agency.

The Varandejsky bulk-oil terminal is in Barents sea on distance of 23 km from coast. It finishes system of sea export of oil from Timano-Pechora provinces, belongs to company "LUKOIL". Bulk-oil cargoes are shipped on tankers, capacity to 20 thousand tons with the subsequent transfer in port of Murmansk through terminal "Belokamenka" (the road tanker-store belonging to Open Society "НК" Rosneft"). Capacity of terminal Varandej makes 12 million tons a year. Into the project enter: sea park for storage of oil, sea a mooring, two threads of the pipeline and other making infrastructures.
