OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2009. IBC took part in the “round table” arrangement, devoted to financial and consulting opportunities for the business community from the donor agencies during the economic crisis, reported the press-centre of International Business Council. 

The third meeting of the donor coordination group in the framework of business and investment climate reforms was conducted in the office of the secretariat of Investment Council under the President of Kyrgyz Republic.

Taalaibek Koichumanov, the secretary of Investment council, opened the meeting. The participants discussed the financial and consulting possibilities for the business-society and donor agencies during the economic crisis.

The national director of BAS program, Shaktybek Imashov, presented the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development readjustment program. Experts of consulting services also presented programs that help companies to adapt to the market requirements.

Earlier meetings of the donor coordination group were held on February 20thand March 2nd, 2009.

The representatives of various organizations, such as the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), USAID, International Financial Corporation (IFC), German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Swiss Cooperation Office and International Business Council (IBC), discussed the improvement of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Procedure for Inspection of Subjects of Entrepreneurship”.

The purpose of the regular gatherings is to improve and facilitate better communication and cooperation between the international organizations, and at the same time, to make a contribution towards the implementation of the objectives of the Paris Declaration.
