The annual Russian transport exhibition TransRussia was organized for the 14th time and it is the most important and the biggest transport industry event in the East, as there are created good conditions to coma into new contacts with potential cargo owners and forwarding and transport companies, meet the present clients, directly discuss and find out the changes and tendencies in this field. This year in the exhibition TransRussia 2009 there took part more than 500 companies from 30 countries of the world.

In a joint exposition representing Lithuanian transport system with the area the same as last year of 135 m2, 12 Lithuanian transport companies exhibited their services, including 8 companies from Klaipeda port.

For the tenth year already Klaipeda port stevedoring, ship agents, chartering and forwarding companies took part in TransRussia with a joint stand. The exposition area of Klaipeda port was 56 m2. In 2008 still bigger volumes were transported via Klaipeda port (3,9 mil t) due to the increase in Russian internal railway tariffs and great congestion in Russian ports.

The representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, railways, biggest shipping companies, cargo owners and forwarding companies made reports at the conference TransRussia 2009.

Head of the Representative Office in the Republic of Belarus Arturas Gaidauskas and Deputy Head of Marketing Department Silvija Jonkuviene represented SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority.
