OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 May 2009 was announced, that starting mid May market trading and index data of the Ukrainian Exchange will be available to subscribers of the major global information agencies including Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters.

"In this turbulent financial environment markets are very dynamic. Under such circumstances investors need fast and regular market data updates, and we are ready to provide them with real time data. Numerous subscribers of the major data vendors will shortly gain  access to the real time information that will enable them to catch early the trends developing on the Ukrainian market within the current trading day as well as help institutional investors to make  more accurate evaluations of their investments, - says Aleksey Sukhorukov, Deputy CEO of the Ukrainian Exchange.

This cooperation became possible after RTS and the Ukrainian Exchange signed an agreement on market data dissemination.

"RTS has already established contractual relationships with all major information agencies and worked out all the technicalities. Now all these agencies will be able to receive via RTS a separate data feed containing the Ukrainian Exchange’s market data, and the Ukrainian Exchange will be able to have its market data distributed on a global level – says Sergey Golovanev, Head of RTS Indices and Market Data.

The Ukrainian Exchange was established in May 2008 by the major players of the Ukrainian securities market.

The trading was opened on March 26, 2009, and from the very start the Ukrainian Exchange became an important pricing point for the local securities.

At this point over 70 liquid stocks are available for trading on the Ukrainian Exchange. Over 150 trades are executed on the Ukrainian Exchange daily, representing in terms of volume a significant share of the regulated Ukrainian secondary market.
