OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 May 2009 was announced, that during the first quarter of 2009 Ilim Group West business unit, (which includes Koryazhma branch of Ilim Group and Ilim Gofra) produced 207thousand tones of pulp and paper production and 10 million m2 of corrugated board production. Compared to the same period of 2008, pulp and paper production went down 18 %.

Market pulp production fell 30% to 64 thousand tonnes.

Board production at 100 thousand tonnes, was up 6% versus prior year.

Paper production totaled 44 thousand tonnes, 34% down compare to the the first three months of 2008. Bag paper production was 14 thousand tonnes, offset paper — 24 thousand tonnes, and wall paper — 6 thousand tonnes.

Total fiber pulped fell by 20% to 220 thousand tonnes.

Round wood delivered to Koryazhma Branch was 1170 thousand m3, 20 % down year-over-year. Volume of raw wood converted to chips went down 22% to 840thousand m3.
