OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 May 2009 was announced, that commodity output of Belarus’ OAO Svetlogorsk cellulose and cardboard plant (CCP), located in the Gomel Region, decreased 30.1% year-on-year in January-March to 43 billion Belarusian rubles (Br), an official with the plant told.

Corrugated container output declined 27.4% on the year in the period to 36 million square meters. Corrugated paper output amounted to 17,700 tonnes, down 17.9%, and pulp output went down 23.6% to 10,000 tonnes.

The company’s output in march alone was only 18% down year-on-year.

Exports fell 52.4% in the first quarter to USD 6.1 million

Svetlogorsk CCP is the only producer of pulp in Belarus.

In December 2008, the company reduced the par value of shares to 40 rubles from 12,000 rubles. Its charter capital fell to 106.384 million rubles. The company had issued 2,659,602 shares. The state controls 76.01% in the company.
