OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 May 2009 was announced, that IJSC Ingosstrakh has paid in excess of US 460,000 as its portion of the insurance indemnification in connection with the damages sustained by Boeing 737-200 owned by Aerosvit Airlines. The payment is made under an aircraft hull insurance contract entered with Credo Classic Insurance Company, a Ukrainian insurer integrated in UNIQA Group Austria.

In March 2008 Boeing 737-200 was making a flight from Pulkovo to Borispol. During the start of the jets after the taxiing at the Pulkovo Airport, the aircraft continued to move forward and collided with a tow truck. As the result of the accident the aircraft sustained damages of the equipment compartment latch and its edging, as well as a hull breach in the hermetic part of the body. The repairs were handled by Boeing Corporation.
