OREANDA-NEWS. May 05, 2009. In February - March 2009, "Ruspolimet" Ltd. transferred two thirds of the administrative fine, imposed upon the company in the antimonopoly case, to the federal budget (786,416 Rubles), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In November 2008 FAS Russia imposed administrative charges upon "Ruspolimet" Ltd. and fined the company 1,179,626.44 Rubles for abusing dominant position on the market of the ring blanks from nickel-containing alloys used for manufacturing aircraft engines.

Earlier FAS Russia investigated an antimonopoly case and found that "Ruspolimet" Ltd. violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

"Ruspolimet" Ltd. violated the antimonopoly law by abusing dominant position on the market of the ring blanks from nickel-containing alloys: in 2007 the company fixed monopolistically high prices for some types of ring blanks from nickel-containing alloys.

Under Article 14.31 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations, abusing dominant position is punishable by an administrative fine upon legal entities in the amount of 1 - 15% of the total proceeds of the violator gained by selling the goods on the market where the violation was committed, in the year preceding the year when the violation was discovered.

Determining the amount of fine, FAS Russia took into account that "Ruspolimet" Ltd. admitted the antimonopoly violation, cooperated with the investigators and undertook steps to liquidate the antimonopoly violations and their consequences.

In December FAS Russia granted the petition of "Ruspolimet" Ltd. on payment the fine in installments (three tranches). The third part of the fine will be paid by the beginning of May.
