"Today we, as a responsible business, take all possible actions to maintain employment and ensure social guarantees to our employees and stability in the regions of SCM Group presence", stated Mr. Mendoza-Wilson. "In addition, we do not lose sight of our long-term objectives in corporate responsibility which is to improve the health and safety performance, to improve our environmental performance and to invest in Ukraine’s social and economic development.

SCM’s goal is to continue to be a leader in corporate responsibility in Ukraine and to build a business which is sustainable in the long run in terms of the employment opportunities it offers, communities it is part of and by reducing over time its impact on the environment. In the short run we need to be ready to be flexible and adapt to the changing external environment. However, we must do it in the sight of our long-term strategy and following all the principles and standards of corporate social responsibility", noted Mr. Mendoza-Wilson.
