OREANDA-NEWS. May 12, 2009.   Dneproenergo, affiliated company of DTEK, the Ukrainian fuel and energy sector leader, has started paying dividends to its shareholders. 30.493 million hryvnia was paid to the government, as the owner of a stake of 50% +1 share. On 5 May 2009 these funds were received by the state budget.

The decision to pay about 60.9 million hryvnia of total dividends was made during the regular shareholders meeting on 24 March 2009. The Company has not been paying dividends since 1998.

Moreover, around 50% of the minority shareholders have received dividends according to the restored share register that was presented to the Company by permanent registrar Prominvestbank. Other minority shareholders should receive dividend payments by 1 June 2009 on the basis of 10.22 hryvnia per one share.

“The Company has been fully amenable to the government as its main shareholder” – the President of Dneproenergo, Juri Bochkarev, commented. - “The decision that was agreed at the last shareholders meeting on 24 of March 2009 to pay dividends for 2007, has been performed on time. This demonstrates the stable functioning of Dneproenergo despite the financial crisis”.
