OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2009. AB Mazeikiu Nafta’s subsidiary – UAB EMAS – started its activities. The main business areas of the new company are electrical equipment installation, servicing, maintenance and other related services, reported the press-centre of Mazeikiu Nafta.

This company will provide the services to the parent company and other organizations in Lithuania and abroad. UAB EMAS employs approximately 200 persons, who earlier worked in AB Mazeikiu Nafta Electrical Shop. The new company was registered with the Register of Legal Entities on March 2, 2009. Its authorized capital equals to 5,200,000 litas.

The establishment of this subsidiary and the beginning of its operations is one more step in implementation of the restructuring strategy of AB Mazeikiu Nafta, which is related to spin-off of the functions unrelated to core business – production of oil processing products.

As part of the process of restructuring of AB Mazeikiu Nafta, two subsidiaries were established in 2008. One of the subsidiaries is engaged in the cleaning, territory attendance and other related services (UAB Paslaugos Tau), and the other is a health care company (UAB Mazeikiu Nafta Health Care Center).
