OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 May 2009 was announced, that on 9 May 2009, all large families of Estonia were invited to have fun and skate for free at the Premia ice arena in Tallinn in the honour of Mother's Day. All families with six or more children were welcome to the family day for large families organised in cooperation between BIGBANK and the Union of Large Families of Estonia.

According to the Project Manager of the Family Day, Kristi Berggeren, the organisers expect families from all corners of Estonia to the ice arena. "The aim of this event is to remember the large families of Estonia before Mothers Day and offer them a fun possibility of spending time together," said Berggren.

Besides skating together, the large families also took part in the entertainment program meant for both children and adults.

The Chairman of the Board of the Union of Large Families of Estonia, Kalmer Hutt, noted that large families need such events very much, because the financial situation of many families does not enable them to go and visit the ice arena with the whole family on their own. "It is very welcome, that even during the economic recession there are entrepreneurs, who help the weaker links of the society", Hutt said.
