OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 May 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers fell 50.5% on the year in January-March to 823,800 tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Ministry told.

The output of potash fertilizers decreased 59.2% on the year to 579,500 tonnes, of phosphate fertilizers went up 23.5% to 50,900 tonnes, and the production of nitrogen fertilizers went down 4.7% to 193,400 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production fell 26.9% to 43,500 tonnes.

Varnish and paint output increased 10.6 times to 485,600 tonnes, automobile tire output went down 13.1% to 793,000 units, and truck tire output fell 5.9% to 227,100 units.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 29% on the year in January-March to 2.672 trillion Belarusian RURles (Br) in monetary terms.
