OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2009. The insurance company ROSNO has concluded a contract with the Russian National Sailing Federation (RNSF), whereunder the company has insured five Olympic-class yachts, a coach boat, and the liability of the Federation’s sailors, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The aggregate contractual insurance amount is 7,552,000 euro.

The third party liability of each sportsperson has been insured for 1.5 million euro. The insurance policy covers risks associated with infliction of damage to property, life or health of third parties.
The insurance amount under the MOD (damage and theft) coverage is 5,500 euro for the Finn-class yachts and 15,000 euro for the coach boat and Laser-class yachts.

The policy contemplates an unconditional franchise of 20,000 euro under the liability insurance and 1,000 euro under the MOD insurance. The insurance protection will be valid in 2009 for the duration of international sailing competitions outside the Russian Federation.

Already in late April, the insured sportspeople took part in the prestigious Yer Regatta (in France), which represents a World Cup Stage, and even won top positions there.

This is not the first case of ROSNO’s cooperation with RNSF. Last year, the company insured third party liability of the Federation’s yachtspeople participating in the sailing regatta during the XXIX Summer Olympics in China.
