OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2009. Rushan Khvesyuk, chairman of Alfa-Bank’s executive board, was named "Best Banker of Russia in 2008" and was awarded with a diploma, and not for the first time, as he also won in 2006 and 2007, reported the press-centre of Alfa-Bank.

The awards ceremony was attended by the senior management of the largest Russian banks, professional banking unions and representatives of legislative bodies.

Commemorative diplomas and gifts were also given out to the most successful heads of Russia’s lending institutions. The winners were selected based on their managerial abilities, the degree of confidence in the bank, the reliability of the institution, and stable and dynamic operations, including the quality of customer service, branch network developments and the implementation of social programs.

The organizing committee was made up of representatives of Russia’s Audit Chamber, Bank of Russia, the Association of Russian Banks, Association "Russia", the Academy of Finance, the media and others.

Rushan Khvesyuk said,
