OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 May 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ beer output decreased 5.7% on the year in January-April 2009 to 10.376 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

OAO Krinitsa, based in Minsk, increased beer production 8.4% to 4.458 million decaliters.

OAO Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 2.117 million decaliters of beer in the first four months, a rise of 16.5% on the year.

Syabar brewery, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 1.196 million decaliters of beer in the period, down 36.7% on the year.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 3.7% to 1.447 million decaliters.

OAO Brest Beer produced 699,000 decaliters of beer, down 15.1%.

OAO Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 336,000 decaliters of beer in the period, down 58.9%.

Beer offering in plastic bottles edged down 3.9% to 8.146 million decaliters, in glass bottled fell 19% to 1.695 million decaliters, in kegs increased 3.8% to 410,000 decaliters and in cans almost doubled to 124,000 decaliters.

Beer sales decreased 6.7% on the year in January-April to 9.322 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales edged down 0.1% to 3.937 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went up 22.1% to 1.821 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales went up 8.8% to 1.29 million decaliters, while sales of Brest Beer fell 13.5%, of Syabar decreased 27.6% and of Rechitspivo dropped 64.4%.
