OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 May 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ imports of beer increased 4% on the year in January-March to 2.664 million decaliters, amounting to USD 13.561 million, down 14.1%, according to food concern Belgospischeprom.

Russian beer imports went down 12.7% on the year in January-March to 1.685 million decaliters worth USD 9.348 million, down 27.2%, while Ukrainian beer imports rose 57.8% to 963,000 decaliters to the amount of USD 3.816 million, up 52.8%.

Imports from Germany were at 3,000 decaliters, down 43.5%, and from the Czech Republic 8,000 decaliters, down 31.8%, worth USD 82,000 and USD 166,000, respectively.
