OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2009. Resources of Agrobank, former Pakhta Bank, grew by 22% year-on-year to 770 billion soums in 2008, the bank said.

The bank noted that income-bearing assets made up 739 billion soums or 77% of total assets of the bank (up 27% year-on-year).

The credit portfolio of the bank rose by 18% year-on-year to 730 billion soums in 2008, Agrobank said. It added that 66% of credits were investments and foreign credits grew by 18% year-on-year.

Agrobank allocated 197.2 billion soums of credits to implement government decisions on support real sector of economy and exporters in 2008 or up 51% year-on-year. The bank allocated 72 billion soums (37% of total credits) to agriculture, 34 billion soums (17%) to technical assistance, 31 billion soums (16%) to industry and 23 billion soums (12%) to construction. Balance of investments credits made up 394 billion soums.

The bank issued credits for 942 billion soums to support real sectors of economy. The bank plans to increase this figure to 974 billion soums.
