OREANDA-NEWS. On May 21, 2009 The Government of Ukraine has unanimously approved as a single package all the 27 normative acts (3 draft laws and 24 resolutions) related to the development of small and average business in Ukraine. Such a decision was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers during its enlarged sitting into considering and approving of anti-crisis measures directed to the support and development of entrepreneurship which took place under chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, with participation of representatives of small and average business.

The Gov’t has endorsed a series of resolutions regulating issues of registration, licensing, permit system, social and regulatory policy.

Notably, the Government has put a moratorium for state supervisory bodies on holding inspection of economy subjects, significantly cut the number of permissions for performing certain kinds of activity, adjusted a procedure of ecologic control applied to importation of goods to the territory of Ukraine etc.

Besides, the Cabinet of Ministers endorsed draft laws related to abolishing tickets to driver’s licenses, regulating issues of counteracting raidership.

Yulia Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine suggested to hold regular open sittings of the Government with participation of entrepreneurs and media people in order to take on problems of small and average business.

“We ought to radically reconsider our attitude to small and average business and to the business in whole. The core task for now is to maintain a flawless communication with entrepreneurs through the Council of Entrepreneurs and the State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Regulatory Policy,” the Premier of Ukraine urged.
