OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2009. The Government of Ukraine is to consider 27 normative acts related to development of small and average business in Ukraine at its enlarged sitting attended by representatives of entrepreneurship. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced on Thursday on opening an enlarged sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dedicated to considering and approving of bail-out measures meant to support and improve an entrepreneurship domain.

According to the Premier, in particular, the Government plans to endorse a resolution on moratorium to hold non-planned examinations of entrepreneurs by state control and revision bodies through December 31 of 2010: “A moratorium will be put over the whole period of crisis on all checks irrespective of who conducts, where or in what way”. At this, Yulia Tymoshenko informed to ensure effective action of the resolution the Government will open a hotline so that entrepreneurs of Ukraine could phone and inform about the facts of violation of the mentioned moratorium.

Besides, at its enlarged session the Government will significantly shorten the list of documents to be submitted to certain bodies to obtain licenses: “On the first stage we have managed with difficulty to shorten the list from 127 to 90 documents. The work will proceed and gradually this list will reduce again”.

The Premier stressed elaboration of the draft normative acts on the agenda for today’s session has become possible only owing to the head of State Committee for Entrepreneurship Olexandra Kuzhel and head of the Entrepreneurs’ Council within the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oxana Prodan.

“They have been working out these draft decisions on-the-fly, from morning till night. Yesterday’s sitting was lasting record 9 hours. All this time was dedicated to considering of 32 normative acts elaborated by the two teams under the leadership of Olexandra Kuzhel and Oxana Prodan,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted.

Moreover, the Prime Minister proposed to hold such open Governmental sittings on a monthly basis, with attracting entrepreneurs and media people to tackle problems of businesses.

The PM underlined, it is just small and average business, especially under the crisis conditions and suspension of huge enterprises, that happens to be the base for the whole economics of the country: “I believe that the recession will be curbed owing to the shoulders of small and average businesses”.

Also Yulia Tymoshenko called on the entrepreneurs to actively cooperate with authorities and promised to consider every their opinion and exert all efforts to entertain their interests.
