OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 May 2009 was announced, that representatives from EuroChem VolgaKaliy, LLC (a EuroChem company) met with graduates and seniors from the Shakhtinsk Institute (a branch of South-Russian State Technical University) in Kotelnikovo, Volgograd Region.

The company is hiring young specialists to help staff its new mining and processing plant. Positions have already been offered to 30 candidates in the new and rapidly growing enterprise. It is noteworthy that not a single mining and processing facility has been built in Russia over the past 40 years.

Graduates and students of mineral extraction and underground construction took an excursion to the site where EuroChem VolgaKaliy is preparing to construct their mining and processing facilities. They visited the offices, cafeteria and dormitory in the Pimeno-Cherni village, were introduced to employees, discussed employment opportunities and participation in social programs, and took part in a survey. The inaugural event in the Kotelnikovo District kicks off what EuroChem plans to become a long tradition of partnership with higher education.

In April, EuroChem VolgaKaliy signed a general agreement to partner with the Shakhtinsk Institute. Over the course of its 50 years, the institute has graduated over 15,000 specialists including engineers, mining company directors, researchers, and candidates and doctors of science.
