OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2009. Sergey Kogoghin, Director General of KAMAZ Inc., met with the managers of Kazan State University in the KAMAZ general director’s office and signed an agreement on strategic partnership for a term of 5 years.

During the meeting the members of the KSU delegation led by Miakzium Salakhov presented the results of their scientists’ work on the profile of KAMAZ Inc. KSU presented its long-term educational projects applicable for the automobile company.

After a detailed and comprehensive discussion of cooperation areas and prospects Sergey Kogoghin and Miakzium Salakhov signed the agreement on strategic partnership between KAMAZ Inc. and Kazan State University.

The objective of cooperation is a more intensive scientific and innovative activity, a higher competitiveness of the parties, a joint participation in federal budget projects, a high quality of specialists’ professional training on the basis of combining the partners’ intellectual potential, material, financial and corporative resources.

As the organizers of the meeting decided, activities within the frames of cooperation will be regulated by a special coordinating group KAMAZ-KSU.

After signing the agreement Miakzium Salakhov noted that because of an educational profile KSU hadn’t got an automobile department, and, nevertheless, there was Sergey Kogoghin successfully heading KAMAZ among its graduates. “It confirms that applied sciences studied in the Kazan University give a specialist a fundamental grounding and a real start in life, – emphasized Mr Salakhov. – And it is urgent and very important for us to keep up “a feedback” with manufacturing plants where our graduates work.”

Confirming the expert scientists’ words Director General of KAMAZ Inc. said that the KSU workers’ scientific and pedagogical work in many respects determined development paths of the home industry.

“Many of us will never forget, – he said, – that they owe their achievements and career exactly to our University. And we perfectly well understand that investing the company’s intellectual potential remains the most reliable kind of investments both during the crisis and in times of economic stability. So KAMAZ attaches enormous importance to entering into and maintaining a mutually advantageous cooperation with the scientific elite of our state up to the mark.”

Director General disclosed new areas of this cooperation. KAMAZ has got a considerable research basis which can be used in the scientific and educational work at the University. According to Sergey Kogoghin, it is also necessary to take into account the fact that KAMAZ is an international company integrated into the world automobile industry. In this connection it is necessary for specialized and academic institutes of higher education to start training specialists for other countries too. KAMAZ has already got experience in personnel and specialists training for Turkmenistan.
