OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2009. Moldova and Belarus will make cooperation in production and supplies of agricultural production to two countries’ markets more active.

InfoMarket was informed at the Belarus’s Embassy in Moldova that this issue had been discussed at the meeting of the Belarus’s Ambassador to Moldova Vasily Sakovich with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Anatolii Gorodenco.

The parties discussed the urgent issues of the Belarussian-Moldovan trade and economic cooperation. In particular, they reached the agreement to send the Moldovan delegation headed by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Anatolii Spivacenco to Belarus within the framework of the Belarussian agroindustrial week to be organized in June 2009.

It is planned to hold negotiations concerning corn seeds supply to Belarus and establishment of the joint venture producing corn seeds and other crops for Belarus’s needs in Moldova. It is also planned to organize a fair in the Ministry of Commerce to sign contracts on fruit and vegetable production supply to Belarus in 2009 and to hold the negotiations over purchase of up to 1000 heads of cattle of elite breeds in Belarus. The Moldovan delegation also intends to visit dairy firms having their own mil processing bases in Belarus.
