OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2009. Kazkommertsbank (Almaty), the listed company of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided to KASE the press release on the following, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Kazkommertsbank has drawn over half of KZT16 bn, allocated by the government to refund small and medium businesses (SMB) within the Fund Damu.

As of May 15, within the third tranche for refunding of SMB were used KZT8,298.4 m. Given this were approved 268 applications to the amount over KZT13 bn.

"Kazkommertsbank - one of three banks, which received the largest amounts within SMB support program. Thus, we are satisfied with these funds drawing pace", - said Lyazzat Satieva, Director of SMB Development Department. From the total number of 268 approved applications 182 borrowers received loans in the size of KZT6 bn 745.66 m, including KZT1 bn 521.85 m for funding of new projects.

In May positions of SMB refunding leaders did not change. Kataganda Region is the first, where Kazkommertsbank affiliates approved 55 applications and on 37 were allocated funds. Almaty is the second: approved 48 applications, for 32. Pavlodar Region is the third - 26 and 17 accordingly. By sector the leaders are trade and services, then the industry, agriculture, transport and communications operators.
