OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2009. The Belavia National Air Company has launched charter flights from Gomel to Antalya (Turkey), the company said.

Belavia will make flights once in ten days from May 28 till September 24. Belavia is also planning to launch flights to other popular tourist destinations from the regional towns.

In summer 2009 Belavia will operate charter flights from Minsk to turkey (Antalya, Bodrum, Izmir, Dalaman), Egypt (Hurgada, Sharm el-Sheikh), Spain (Barcelona), Bulgaria (Burgas, Varna), Tunis (Monastir), Greece (Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Crete), Montenegro (Tivat), Croatia (Pula).

The Belavia national air company was founded on March 5, 1996. It operates regular flights to thirty destinations in nineteen countries. Belavia holds around 65% of the Belarusian market of air transportation of passengers. Among its partners are famous international air companies such as Aeroflot, Aerosvit, Air Baltic, Austrian Airlines, Azal. In 2008 Belavia obtained a certificate of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).
