OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 May 2009 was announced, that Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade published the results of the annual competition “Best Russian Exporter”. This time, PAVA – the largest Russian grain processor East of Urals – was entitled “The most rapidly developing Russian exporter”.

The competition was held in 17 basic industrial sectors, with three nominations: “Best Russian Exporter”, “Best Russian Exporter to the CIS countries” and “The most rapidly developing Russian exporter”. The applications were reviewed by the Foreign Relations Department at Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade based on the companies consolidated export reports in 2008.

To recap, in 2008 PAVA shipped abroad over 70,000 tonnes of grain processing products, surpassing its previous year results by 84%.

Exporting is one of the strategic business areas for the Altay Company. PAVA focuses much of its effort on seeking new contracts with overseas customers, and has been a partner of the UN WFP for a long time.

“For the second consecutive year the Ministry of Industry and Trade recognized PAVA business achievements. It gives us further motivation and encouragement for realizing the company goals. The production capacities and equipment of the flour mills justify ambitious objectives, while overseas co-operation experience and impeccable business reputation help bring the new ideas to life”, says Andrey Ananin, OJSC PAVA Director General.
