OREANDA-NEWS. May 29, 2009. SITRONICS Information Technologies, one of the leading system integrators working in Eastern Europe and CIS countries, announced about commissioning of data processing center (DPC) for Detsky Mir Group, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS.

Created DPC provides effective work of IT infrastructure and applications on the basis of modern technologies and equipment that meet the requirements for development of Detsky Mir national chain. DPC is located in Moscow and connected with more than 100 trade enterprises and offices of the Group in dozens of Russian cities by means of fiber-optic communication links.

During construction of DPC requirements of compliance with international standard ANSI/TIA/EIA-942 and construction regulations СН-512 were strictly abided. DPC corresponds to 3rd level by redundancy and reliability. Peak demand of DPC makes up 80-120 kW with possibility of power expansion.

DPC servers are based on modern high-performance switching architecture with high scalability as well as support of technology for virtualization of DPC resources. Operating system and hardware have functions of high availability, redundancy and support of maintenance without system interruption. Technology of tape information storage is used for redundancy and data backup system. It combines reasonable conservatism with low cost and quite high speed of data exchange.

DPC is equipped with engineering infrastructure systems: complexes for uninterruptible and no-break power supply, air-conditioning and ventilation, fire extinguishing, fire alarm and smoke removal.
